All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Obrist, Sara Jane Sara Jane, 24, our sweet precious angel went to be with our Lord and her mother on August 3, 2002, after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on September 25, 1977, to Ben and Jane Obrist III. Sara was an avid churchgoer who expressed her love for God. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also loved to sing and listen to music. Another favorite of Sara's was to watch OSU win, she was their #1 fan, and enjoyed playing sports herself. She was a participant in the Special Olympics for 12 yrs and won numerous medals. She attended school at Casady and graduated from Piedmont High School in 1999. Sara was recently employed by Cushman & Wakefield for the last two years, while taking care of her dad for the last five. She was a favorite of all her teachers, bosses and friends. Sara had no bad days. She was always happy and a joy to be around. She loved everyone she ever met and never ever forgot a name or face. She rarely went anywhere without bumping into a friend. Sara was and will always be loved by many. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jane; maternal Grandma Taylor and paternal Grandpa Obrist. She is survived by her father; sister, Deanna and her husband, Armond Oliphant; as well as her brother, Bennie; niece, Megen; Grandma Obrist and Grandpa Taylor; 14 aunts and uncles, 32 cousins, and a host of best friends. Services will be held Wednesday, 10:00 AM, at Mayfair Baptist Church. Burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be sent to www.mem.com.
