Owens, Mattie L.

Mattie L., 82, passed away Monday, August 27, 2002 in Midwest City, 
Oklahoma. She was born October 5, 1919 in Pittsburg, Oklahoma to William 
and Katie Dora (White) Boston. She was the secretary for their family 
business, Owens Hermetics for 22 years before retiring in 1982 and was a 
member of The Eastern Star. Mattie was an avid OU football fan and enjoyed 
quilting. Mattie is survived by two sons, Larry Dean Owens and wife Teresa 
of Warrenton, VA and DeWayne Owens and wife Katie of OKC; one daughter, 
Ladora Sue 'Susie' Buchanan and husband Carl of OKC; one daughter-in-law, 
Isadora Owens of Alexandria, LA; one brother, Jessie Boston and wife Betty 
of Hobart, IN; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She is 
preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William A. Owens; and one 
brother, Luther Boston. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, 
August 30, 2002 in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with interment 
following in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of Resthaven
