Mrs. Pickard was born June 21, 1925 at Crescent, OK to Orean & Belle (Forney) Bishop. She is preceded in death by: her parents; brothers: Clyde, George, Hack, Dale, Ross and Lee; and sisters: Cora, Flossie, Ethel and Helen. Darline married the love of her life, Cecil Ray Pickard on May 8, 1945 in Spokane, WA and to this union they had two sons, Kenneth Ray & Glenn Dale. Darline was retired from OKC Public Schools after many years of dedicated service to the children of OKC. She was a charter member of Dumas Ave. Bapt. Church and a lifetime golden member of the Oklahoma Retired Education Association. Darline's family was her life, she enjoyed being a den mother and involving herself with the cub scouts. In addition, she loved supporting her children through little league and baseball events. She will also be remembered as being an avid OU fan. Survivors include: her husband, Cecil Ray Pickard; and sons, Kenneth of Duncan, OK and Glenn & wife Thelma Pickard of OKC; her one grandson, her "baby doll", Jason M. Pickard; sister, Edna Terrell of Wichita, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services to celebrate her life will be conducted by Pastor Mike Stephens at 10:00 AM on Saturday Jan. 11, 2003 at Vondel Smith Mortuary South.
