All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Resurrection Memorial Cemetery--OKC OK Pokorny, Ethel Louise Andersen Ethel Louise Andersen Pokorny passed away April 1, 2003, at her home. She was born in Chicago in 1912, the youngest of four children to Irish Catholic parents. In the first phase of her adult life, she continued to live in Chicago, while working at the telephone company. In the second phase she married Justus Pokorny, originally of Ely, IA, the son of a locally prominent minister of a Czech Evangelical Church. They moved to the suburbs of Bensenville and Aurora where they raised a son, Russell, currently of Knox, NY, and a daughter, Lois, of Oklahoma City. In the next phase, now a widow, she moved to Oklahoma where she enjoyed the company of her daughter and their true-blue friends, Sisters Kathryn Olsen and Mary Ann O'Kane. In the final phase, she appreciated greatly the kind nurses, aides, and other companionable caregivers of the Hospice and HomeCare Centers of Edmond. She leaves her daughter, Lois, and her special boys, Derick and Jeffery Dalton, who were like grandsons to her; her son, Russell, and his wife, Amy, daughter, Danielle, and stepson, John, and numerous close friends. Among the close friends are the aforementioned Kathryn, who brightened her days with laughter and specially selected gifts, and Mary Ann O'Kane, whose gentle attitude warmed her heart. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, April 7, at the Resurrection Memorial Cemetery Chapel. SMITH & KERNKE 14624 N.
