All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Ada Mae Petty GUYMON, Okla. - Ada Mae Petty, 87, a former Del City resident, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Guardian West Funeral Home, N.W. 41st and MacArthur, Oklahoma City. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery at Muskogee by Henson Novak Funeral Directors. Mrs. Petty was born on her mother's Choctaw Indian allotted land in Coal County. She attended Wheelock Academy, a Choctaw girls' boarding school at Millerton. She married George R. Petty in 1931 at Muskogee. They lived in Oklahoma City from 1943 until 1967 and in Del City from 1967 until her husband's death in 1990. She continued to live in Del City until March when she moved to Guymon. She also was preceded in death by three sons, Terry Dean Petty, Larry Gene Petty and 1st Lt. Donald Scott Petty. Survivors include her sons, David K. Petty of Guymon, George R. Petty of Forsythe, Mo., and Dr. Mark Petty of Miami, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
