Bill G., 63, retired oilman, of Oklahoma City, died March 1st, 2003. Born March 20, 1939 to Paul C. and Ruth Perry in Little River, KS. Bill graduated from Little River High School and received his B.A. degree in business from Kansas State Teachers College, Emporia, KS. Both his mother and father preceded Bill in death. He is survived by wife Sue, of the home, brother Jack and his wife Yvonne of Wichita, KS; sons Blake Perry, Atlanta, GA, Rick Riley, Midwest City, OK, Russell Riley, Tulsa, OK, Randy Riley and his wife Lori, Dallas, TX, along with 10 grandchildren. Bill worked for Ben J. Taylor and moved to OKC in 1961. In 1969 he joined Magness Petroleum Company working as assistant comptroller, leaving in 1973 to join Nichols Casing Crews as vice president. He became president of Nichols in 1983 then leaving a few years later to start his own pump and supply company. A beloved husband, father, friend and mentor, Bill never missed an opportunity to visit with his dear friends and family to share a story or two. Bill touched many lives throughout his years and will be deeply missed by all those that he came in contact with. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, March 6th at the North Colonial Chapel of Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary. His remains will then be taken to a private family cemetery in Bean Territory, KS. VONDEL L. SMITH & SON MORTUARY 13125 N.
