All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner 16 Aug 2002 Fred ‘Jim’ Price MARLOW — Service for Fred “Jim” Price of Marlow, who died today in Marlow, is pending with Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home of Marlow. ========= Duncan Banner 18 Aug 2002 Fred James ‘Jim’ Price MARLOW — Fred James “Jim” Price, 71, of Marlow, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, at his home. Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel with the Rev. Danny Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home. Mr. Price was born Dec. 9, 1930, in Oklahoma City to Fred Dale and Margaret Selma (Moore) Price. He attended school in Minco and graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City in 1950. He also completed one year of college. He and Frances Maxene Smith were married March 6, 1956, in Oklahoma City. The couple moved to Marlow in 1972. Mr. Price was a mechanic, and he was a member of the American Bowling Congress since 1968. He attended the Exchange Avenue Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. He was an avid bowler and car racing fan. He enjoyed watching sports on television and watching his grandchildren participate in sports. He is survived by his wife, Frances Maxine Price, of the home; two sons, James Allen Price and wife Sherry of Oklahoma City and Erick Ray Price and wife DaWanna of Marlow; two grandchildren, Cassondra J. Price and James Raymond Price, both of Marlow; and three sisters, Margaret Sue Clemons White, Freda J. Selby and Alice L. Orcutt and her husband Robert E., all of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Bearers will be Fred Wheeler, George Weeaks, Bob McKinley, Tommy McDaniels, Bill Mayberry and Earl McCauley. Honorary bearers will be Frank Atwater and Bill Hamstead.
