All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Parsons, William Benjamin (Bill) William Benjamin (Bill) Parsons age 80 died Monday August 5, 2002 at his home in Mustang. He was born December 14, 1921 in Oklahoma City to William B. and Gladys Lopp Parsons. He grew up in the Oklahoma City/Jones/ Spencer area. After graduating from Northeast High School he entered the US Coast Guard, where he served as radioman. After service he pursued radio as a hobby under the call letters of W50DL. He had made a career of electronics at both Tinker AFB and the FAA. After retirement be enjoyed fishing, camping, motorcycle riding, wood carving and trap shooting. He loved going the the 'valley' in south Texas and all the new friends he had met there. He was a Mason and a member of the Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 52 plus years Mary of the home, one daughter Carol Sue Miller and husband Phil of Enid, one son Larry Joe Parsons and wife Suzanne of Mustang, and one sister Lottie Ellen Martin of Yukon. Also by four grandchildren and one great grand daughter. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Services will be held at 10AM on Thursday August 8, 2002 in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service with interment following in Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, Oklahoma.
