All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Rose Hill Cemetery--OKC OK Pagonis, Peter John Peter John Pagonis, of Monmouth Junction, NJ, left this earth to join his Lord and Savior on March 21, 2003 after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was born in Kardamyla, Chios, Greece, May 16, 1933, to John Michael and Eugenia Moraki Pagonis. He came to the United States in 1934 with his mother and brother, Michael. He was a derivative citizen through his father. He graduated from Central High School in OKC and attended Oklahoma University in Norman and Central State University (now UCO) in Edmond. He was a staunch supporter of the Oklahoma University Sooners, and an avid New York Mets fan. He joined the U.S. Air Force and proudly served as a medic for four years. He was employed by Philip Morris International in New York, NY; where he traveled and lived in other countries including Athens, Greece. He retired after over 30 years, having reached the position of Director of National Sales Duty Free; headquartering at the New York office. His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of over 45 years, Paula Jean Koch Pagonis. His son, Demitri Pagonis and wife Melanie DeMaio of Yardley, PA; his daughter, Nicole Pagonis of Philadelphia, PA; his granddaughter and joy of his life, Finn Eva Kairer. His aunts Despina Moraki Hanges, Houston, TX; Vivian Sallas, Kansas City, MO and Olga Zaffos. Oklahoma City, OK. He is also survived by four brothers, all of Oklahoma City: Michael and wife Jo Ann; George; Jim and wife Maria; and Nick and wife Darlene; sister- in-law Marcella Pagonis, numerous nieces and nephews as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews. Also by many cousins and a loving extended family, as well as a multitude of friends. Father John D. Tsaras, protostaminos, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church will officiate. Trisaigon prayer service will be at 7 PM Thursday, March 27, 2003 at Hahn Cook Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, March 28, 2003 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church on 145th and North Pennsylvania, with interment following at Rose Hill Cemetery. Donations may be made to the St. George Memorial Fund or St. George Library Fund.
