ERNEST EARL RAY Earnest Earl Ray was born on August 11th, 1890 at Elk county, Kansas, and passed away at Argonia, Kansas, June 23rd, 1937, at the age of forty seven years. He leaves to mourn his loss, four sisters, Mrs. Cora Burkhart of Oklahoma City, Minnie Ray of Darriougett, Texas, Ida Myers of California, Sula Schlotzhauer of Oklahoma City; four brothers, Roy Ray of Fort Cobb, Teague Ray of Beaver City, Bert Ray of Hinton, and Bill of Peoria, Arizona. Mr. Ray made his home at Fort Cobb until about a year ago he moved to Oklahoma City where his mother passed away about four months ago. He had gone to Kansas to work in the wheat harvest and passed away from the effects of heat Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. Funeral services were held at the Harvey Funeral home Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. by R.E. Harvey, assisted by Rev. John R. Webb. The singing was rendered by John R. Webb, W.D. Finney, Ralph Williams and Lester Harvey with Mrs. Webb at the piano.
