Leyon was born May 19, 1926 in Sharon Springs, KS to Ora and Alma Rhea. He led a colorful life from the young age of 15, where he left home to be a rodeo bronc rider, he also worked as a border patrol on the Rio Grande. He later moved to Midwest City, OK where he became a well known blacksmith, covering three states in four decades. He is survived by his wife, Betty Rhea of the home, daughter: Sheri Newsom & husband Jr. of Edmond, OK; son: Monte Rhea & wife Diana of CA; daughter: Tonah Tharp & husband Michael of Edmond, OK; two stepsons: Grant Schultz & wife Roxane of Edmond, OK, & Paul Schultz & wife Shireen of Okmulgee, OK; 16 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren with two more on the way; & a brother: Dick Rhea & wife Bernice of Sharon Springs, KS. He was loved by many nieces & nephews. Leyon gave many hours of enjoyment to his family & friends. He was greeted in Heaven by Jesus, then his parents, one sister, one brother, a stepson, & stepdaughter. Services are planned for Wed. March 5, at 10:00 am, at the Life Church, East Campus, 4500 E. 2nd in Edmond, with burial at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Edmond. Services are directed by Bill Eisenhour, N.E.
