All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Robinson, Gregory Charles Reflection of a Life Gregory Charles Robinson, longtime civic leader, a passionate advocate for the "War on Poverty", has now earned his highest award. Lovingly referred to by friends and family as "Uncle Greg", he departed this life on January 19, 2003. Robinson was born February 18, 1954 to James L. and Iola A. Robinson in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Greg was a graduate for Northeast High School (1972), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and earned his Bachelor's degree from Langston University, and a Master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh, PA. After graduation, Gregory moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Robinson had been an advocate for better and more housing in North Tulsa. He was the original plaintiff in a lawsuit "Robinson-vs-State of Oklahoma that resulted in more African Americans Judges being elected in Tulsa and Oklahoma City. Gregory is remembered by his wife, Debra Kawee; two sons, Gregory II, and Setlah Edward and a daughter Coekie Chylene, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; parents James L. and Iola A. Robinson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; siblings, E. Yvonne Morrow, James "Turt" Robinson and Cassandra (Eddie) Walker, all of Oklahoma City; a special sister, Rosharon King of Fort Worth, Texas; a lovely mother-in- law, Willie Lee Golf of Bixby, Oklahoma; maternal aunts, Deborah (Ricky) Berry of Oklahoma City, Cleta (Walter) Dillard of Nevada, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Extended families include Edward and Lisa Goeas, Jim and Elaine Pharr and Veretta Carter.
