Lee Robinson was born June 12, 1931, in Udall, Kansas, the son of Lee Robinson and Hazel [Cole] Robinson. He died Friday, February 24, 2006 in Chickasha. Lee grew up in Udall Kansas, graduating from Burlington High School in 1950. On September 1, 1950, he joined the United States Army. He served for 1 year and 8 months, before being honorably discharged on May 1, 1952. On December 16, 1960, in Chickasha, Lee married the love of his life, Ruby Parham. They settled in Midwest City, where Lee was employed with Humpty- Dumpty and several other grocery stores around the area, as the butcher and meat market manager. He retired in 1993. After his retirement Ruby wanted to move back "home" so they moved to Chickasha, where they have lived since. Lee loved his family and always looked forward to the visits from his daughters and grandchildren. He was also an avid pool player, and spent much of his free time at the table. He truly enjoyed the game, and was always eager to accept anyone's challenge to play. He was preceded in death by both parents and one son, Richard Keith Robinson. He is survived by his wife, Ruby, of the home; two daughters and sons-in- law: Leah Dawn and Scott Spear, of Murrieta, California; and Gayla Ann and David Blott, of Austin, Texas; brother, Don Robinson, of Burlington, Kansas; sister, Evelyn Monroe, of Topeka, Kansas; and five grandchildren: Jordan and wife Jenny Robinson, Brittany Blott, Christian Robinson, Ryan Spear, and Taylor Spear. Services were under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Oklahoma County Archives: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/oklahoma/oklahoma.html
