She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Will A. Robinson. Friends will remember Hazel for her optimistic and generous nature. She had a lovely spirit that drew others to her. She enjoyed travel and in her last decade of life had visited Israel where she retraced the Way of the Cross, visited the Sea of Galilee, rode on a camel and swam in the Dead Sea. A member of Crown Heights Baptist Church, Hazel was a devout Christian and a dedicated mother and wife. She was a champion Scrabble player, always learning new and obscure words, such as those which used a "q" without a "u." Her rule was that if you couldn't define the word you couldn't use it. She is survived by her son William A. "Bill" Robinson and his wife Marlene and her daughter Ann Marie Robinson Gearen and her husband John Gearen. Also, grandchildren Maj. William A. Robinson, Jr. and wife Eve, Brian C. Robinson, Stephani Robinson Thomas and husband Charles Thomas. Also grandchildren Cameron Gearen and her husband Andrew Junker, John Alan Gearen and Sarah Kate Gearen and great granddaughter Cleo Junker. She is also survived by her brother Jack Grossenbacher and his wife Doris. Hazel continued a fond relationship with the mother of her Robinson grandchildren, Carolyn Baker Robinson. Hazel Marie Robinson dedicated her life to her family and we all adored her. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held Monday, February 10th 10:00 a.m. at Baggerly Memorial Chapel, 13313 N. Kelley, Oklahoma City. We think Mother would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer Association or to the chapel garden at Crown Heights Baptist Church. Baggerley Memorial Chapel 13313 N.
