All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ===================================================================== :: Rowsey, James Raymond James Raymond Rowsey, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend passed away Monday, Jan. 6, 2003. Born in Guys, TN to James C. & Beulah Rowsey. He married Mattie Marie Borden Oct. 13, 1939 in Corinth, MS. He was a navy veteran of World War II. He owned a cafe & grocery store before entering the ministry. He was a graduate of Ozark Bible College with a Bachelor of Sacred Science degree; a graduate of Southern Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Science & Master of Arts degrees. Over a period of 50 years he & Marie ministered to churches in MO, TX, LA, & OK. They held revivals throughout the country. He preached in many conventions associated with the Christian Church and in the 60's was selected as one of the five top soul winners to Christ. He, also, taught in and retired from the OKC Public School System. Following retirement, he ministered to the Christian Church in Okwood, OK for 10 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marie, in 2000. Survivors include his sister, Eleanor Gurley, of Corinth, MS; his daughter & son-in-law, Linda & Glen Robinson of OKC; 2 grandchildren, Glenda Acker & husband Mike & Lynn Robinson & Allison; 2 great grandchildren, Jennifer Poteet & Lyndsay Robinson. He loved his family and his church family and was a wonderful influence in many lives and will be missed by all. (We Love you Big Daddy). Services will be 2:00 PM Friday Jan. 10, 2003 at Guardian North. GUARDIAN NORTH 11600 N.
