All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Russell, Thelma Davis Thelma Davis 'Mom' was born November 13, 1895 in Fulton, Kentucky and went home to the Lord on August 20, 2002. She was born 106 years ago to Felix and Judith Davis. She was the only daughter out of six children. She met her husband, Saint Gervaise 'Pop' Russell in Nocona, TX and they married on December 29, 1914 in Fulton, Kentucky. Thelma was a resident of Oklahoma City for over 80 years and a long time member of St. Lukes Methodist Church. During her long life she volunteered as a 'Pink Lady' at old Mercy Hospital. She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Oklahoma State Association of Master Plumbers, and the 'Triple 4' Bridge Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Saint Gervaise Russell; her daughter, Judith Brittain; her son, Saint Gervaise Russell, Jr and her granddaughter, Beverly Ann Russell. She is suivived by her daughters - in-'love': Edna Russell of OKC, and Margaret Minteer of Denver, CO.; granddaughters; Barbara Free of Okc, Barbara 'Bobbe' Brittain-Hardcastle of Denver, Co; grandsons: Bill Russell of Tulsa, Bruce Russell of Edmond, Bob Russell of Okc; great grandchildren: Stephanie, Caitlin, Terri, Brian, David, Kristy, Karen, Kenny, Cara & Calli and eleven great great grand children and 'special' nephew, Dr. Joseph Davis of San Antonio, TX. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at The Fountains of Canterbury and Vista Hospice. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 120 N. Robinson, Okc, OK 73102. Services will be held Friday, August 23 at 10:00 am at St. Luke's Methodist Church-Watchhorn Chapel, 222 N.W. 15th, OKC, OK.
