All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Ritzwoller, David Herman 1907 - 2005 David Herman Ritzwoller, 98, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died Thursday, May 5, 2005, at his residence after a long and happy life and following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral: Private family services will be held Saturday. Visitation: Friends may call 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the residence of his daughter, Mary Ann Block. Memorials: Mr. Ritzwoller's family respectfully requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the David Ritzwoller Memorial Fund, Southwest Regional Library, Attention: Roberta Schenewerk, Acquisition Unit, Fort Worth Public Library, 500 W. Third St., Fort Worth, Texas 76102-7305. A native of Newark, N.J., David Herman Ritzwoller was born March 24, 1907, the son of William and Gertrude Grotta Ritzwoller. He spent his youth in New Jersey and Michigan before moving to San Antonio and Oklahoma City. While in Oklahoma City, David met and married the former Cecile Friedman in 1938. The couple settled in Fort Worth in 1957. David was an accountant and retired from Finger Furniture, where he was comptroller. In his retirement, he traveled the world and was an avid reader. Most of all, he loved being with his family. Survivors: Wife of 67 years, Cecile Friedman Ritzwoller; son, Steven Ritzwoller and his wife, Gail; daughter, Mary Ann Block and her husband, Jack Ward; grandchildren, Michelle Block Goldsmith and her husband, Reggie, Randy Block, Lauren Eagle and her husband, Mike, and Tracy Ritzwoller; and great-grandchildren, Paige and Reid Goldsmith and Logan and Braden Eagle.
