Renz Sr., 74 of Coventry Rd., Nashua, NH, died Sunday April 27, 2003 at his home due to lung cancer complications. Mr. Renz was born December 20, 1928 in Syracuse, NY, son of the late Charles S. and Marion G. (Hartum) Renz. Mr. Renz resided in Nashua, NH for 28 years. He was the husband of Amelia M. (Dyer) Renz, of Nashua to whom he had been married to for 50 years in May 2002. Mr. Renz graduated from High School in Syracuse, then served in the US Navy in the Pacific. He attended Long Island Ag and Tech and was a graduate of the General Electric Apprentice Drafting Program. He worked as a Detail and Design Drafter for GE in Syracuse and Daytona Beach and also as a Drafting Manager in Oklahoma City. In 1975 after Honeywell acquired GE's computer division and relocated to Mass, Mr. Renz accepted a section manager position in test equipment engineering in Lawrence, Ma, a position he retired from in 1989. He enjoyed woodworking, yard and home maintenance and was an avid, if not apt golfer. While in Oklahoma, he served on the Drafting Advisory Boards for Okmulgee Tech, Stringtown Reformatory and the W.S. Job Corps. Besides his wife, survivors include 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles E. and Jeanne Renz Jr, of Palm Bay, Fla. and Joseph E. Renz, of Nashua, NH. Also 2 daughters, Lisa Merideth, of Oklahoma City, OK and Kathleen Renz, of San Antonio Texas, also 1 brother, Frederick Renz, of Spring Hill, Fla. Also 1 granddaughter, Amy Kathleen Merideth, of Oklahoma City, OK. Also several nieces and nephews. The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, Nashua, NH is in charge of arrangements.
