All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Shipman, Grace Carolyn Grace Carolyn Shipman, born September 1, 1935 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma died Sunday, August 25 in Englewood, Colorado. She was a resident of Oklahoma City until 1993 at which time she and her husband moved to Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed dearly. She retired from Transamerica Financial and was the first woman manager in Oklahoma. She was a member of Summit Community Church, and a pillar in her community of Highlands Ranch. Carolyn was a role model and hero in the eyes of her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. (Bob) Shipman, daughters Kemie Houston of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and Kellye Burns of Germantown, Tennessee, brother Chuck Cantwell of Oklahoma City, and grandchildren Jamie Hunter, Raechel Burns, Julie Hunter, Jason Burns, Jerrad Burns, and Tanner Houston. A celebration of her life will be held at Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary Chapel, 6934 S. Western Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Friday, August 30th at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Donations may be sent in memory of Carolyn to Sungate House (a safe house for children), P.O. Box 24225, Denver, Colorado, 80224. VONDEL L.
