All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.html ========================================================================== Seikel, Marjorie Ann Our loving mother and granny Marjorie Ann Seikel passed away peacefully on Fri., August 6, 2005. Marjorie was born on Jan. 4, 1919, in Wichita, Kansas to Bess and Jess Taylor. As a girl, she grew up in Caldwell, Kansas and graduated from high school with a full music scholarship to Emporia State Teachers College. She came to Oklahoma City in 1939 where she remained until her death. She was a charter member of Westminister Presbyterian Church. Her love of music led her to play the piano and organ for various churches within the City. Her greatest joy was being the accompanist for many of her daughters' musical programs at their schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Seikel and her granddaughter, Stacy Meeker. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Russell and Susan Holcomb and her husband Billy; grandson, Devin Russell and his wife Robin; great granddaughters, Hannah Meeker, Taylor Russell and Raemy Gray; sister, Helen Melichar of Caldwell, Kansas, niece Melinda Norton and nephews Bob and Al Melichar and their families. The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care shown to their Mother by Dr. Douglas Haynes. A celebration of her life will be held by the family at a private service at Resthaven. Memorials may be made to the Scholarship fund at Caldwell High School, Caldwell, KS. We love you, Mom.
