He was born November 7, 1946 in Vallejo, CA. Bill married Annis Kinnick in 1967. He graduated from Crooked Oak High School in 1965, attended Northern Oklahoma College, Southern Illinois University, graduated from Central State University and received his Masters from The University of Oklahoma. Bill was a coach and taught school in Anadarko, Western Heights, Harrah High School and was a Middle School Principal in Jones. He won state, coaching boys basketball in Anadarko in 1975. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming & just outdoor life in general and a member of the First Baptist Church in Jones. Survivors include, his wife, Annis of the home, 1 daughter, Stephanie & her husband, Carl Johnson & son, Christopher of Jones, 1 son: J.W. Stevens, parents: Mr. & Mrs. James Stevens of Del City, 2 brothers: Rick & Jim Stevens, a grandmother: Hazel Stevens of Ponotoc, MS. and many other family and friends. Committal service at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 22, 2003 at Jones IOOF Cemetery, Jones, OK. Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 22, 2003 at Jones High School Gymnasuim. Memorial contributions may be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, Oklahoma Chapter, 1000 W. Wilshire, Suite 364, Oklahoma City, OK 73116.
