from the Daily Oklahoman, Oklahoma City, 5 Feb 1954, p33:

EDWARD B. STEVENS - Services for Edward B. Stevens, 49, of 4613 N 
Indiana, assistant principal of Webster junior highschool who died of 
a cerebral hemorrhage Wednesday at Wesley hospital, will be at 3:30 
p.m. Friday in the Smith & Kernke funeral chapel, with burial at 
Fairlawn cemetery.

Stevens was born at Coalgate and received degrees from Central State 
college in Edmond and the university of Oklahoma, Norman. He had 
served as assistant principal at Webster since 1944, having 
previously taught at Taft  junior highschool and Crooked Oak 
highschool."
