Contitution, July 26,2001 Page 11A Funeral for Ruth Marie Suttle, 97, Lawton, will be at 9am Friday at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Hayes, retired pastor, officiating. Mrs Suttle died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at a local hospital. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. She was born Sept. 12, 1903, in Carl, Iowa, to Hamblin and Mary Beck Miller Purdum. She moved as a child to Guthrie, where she graduated from high school. She married Coy W. Suttle on March 23,1924, in Oklahoma City. He died Jan 17, 1979. They moved to Kent, Iowa, in 1929 and then to Lawton in 1931. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lawton Rebekah Lodge No. 87, the Eastern Star Charity Chapter No. 507 and Jefferson Baptist Church, where she was in the Ruth Sunday School Class. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law; Coy W. Jr. and Oma M. Suttle, Altus; and Lester Ray and Esther Suttle, Lawton; four grandchildren; Kay Mercer, Altus; Sheryl Kinder, Anderson, SC.; Karen Schaefer, Lawton; and Dr. Gary Suttle, Okarche; seven great-grandchildren; Toby Wilson, Edrin Wilson, Robert Mercer, Kathy Mercer, Christopher Suttle, Carrie Suttle and Jonathan Suttle.
