She was born on March 22, 1914 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, to L.W. Seaton and Corinne Seaton. The family moved to Britton, Oklahoma, where Gay graduated from Britton High School and from Central State University. After graduation she was recruited by the Campfire Girls organization and sent to Indiana for public relations staffing. She later conducted seminars and workshops for Kodak until the supply of film was cut short by World War II. She joined the Amana Corporation; later Geneva Kitchens as Kitchen Planner and subsequently accepted a position with the Chambers Corporation as Junior Engineer, traveling extensively throughout the United States. When her father"s health began to fail she returned to Oklahoma City, joining Woods Petroleum Corporation as Chief Draftsman, which position she held until her retirement. Gay was immensely proud of her Scottish heritage and thoroughly enjoyed her trip to Northern England and Scotland, using maps and historical documents to research family ancestry. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist church, being a teacher of adult classes and a worker with older youth. She is a member of the Chappell Class of St. Luke"s United Methodist church. She is survived by her brother, Dean Seaton and his wife, Mary Lou, of Bothell, WA, two nieces Lauri (Jim) Troxel of Lincoln, CA, and Holly (Bill) Roberts of Terre Haute, IN, as well as three great nephews, and a special brother, C.W. Paxton (Peggy) of California. Special appreciation is given to Odyssey Hospice for their tender care, expecially Vaneta and Tina. In lieu of flowers it is requested that memorials be made to a charity of choice. God gave the gift of memory that we might close our eyes and see the ones we love, and who love us.
