All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::??--Higgins TX Amarillo Globe News 26 Mar 1998 Dr. George William Schultz OKLAHOMA CITY - Dr. George William "Bill" Schultz, 74, died Wednesday, March 25, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hahn-Cook Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Higgins, Texas. Dr. Schultz was born in Shattuck. He graduated from Shattuck High School and attended Oklahoma A&M University and Colorado State College. In 1946, he graduated from Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine, where he played basketball and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Dr. Schultz served as a lieutenant in the Armed Services, stationed in San Francisco. He was separated from the service in 1948 and was appointed captain in the Veterinary Corps Reserves. Dr. Schultz spent many years ranching and farming in western Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle. He was actively involved in the oil and gas business in Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Hall Schultz. Survivors include two sons, George William Schultz Jr. of Coppell, Texas, and Jeffrey Patton Schultz of Edgemont, S.D.; a daughter, Sally Jo Swenk of Greenville, S.C.; two sisters, Mary Katherine of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Janet Wiley of Follett, Texas; two brothers, Dr. Jerry Norman Schultz of Denver and Mark Schultz of Oak Glen, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and friend, A.
