Samoska, 80, of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away peacefully in her bed amidst loved ones on August 22, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Samoska, June 1983. She was born on April 18, 1922, in Chicago, Illinois. Her marriage had lasted 41 years, until the death of her husband. She retired after a long career in the administrative offices of Chicago City Colleges. Lillian was also preceded by her two brothers, James and John Muscato, and is survived by her sister, Dorothy Smith and husband, Walter. Lillian was a kind and loving, compassionate woman of character and the deeply loved matriarch of a large prosperous, surviving family: daughter, Joanne Berger and husband Gerald; son, James Somaska and wife, Pam; grandson, Matt Berger and wife Yumei; granddaughter, Monica Panfil and husband, Todd; grandson, Gregory Berger and wife, Brenda; grandson, Mike Samoska and wife, Dena; great- grandchildren, Brett, Nicole, Kassandra and Trent Panfil; Hallie and Kameryn Samoska; Alyssa and, Rachael Berger; step great- grandchildren; Greg and Kent McGrath; nieces, Cherie Pasillas, Judy Adams; and Jance White; nephew, Lenny Smith; numerous great nieces and nephews and daughter-in-law, Sandy Samoska. We know she has gone to her final reward, but she was deeply loved and will be equally missed. A Wake is scheduled for Sunday, August 25 at 7:00 p.m. at Baggerley Funeral Home. Service is scheduled for 10:00 Mon., August 26, 2002 at St. John's Catholic Church of Edmond. Baggerley Funeral Home 930 S.
