Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Logan United Methodist Church with David Bonnell, pastor of the church, and Stephen Lowrie, pastor of First Baptist Church of Dalhart, officiating. Burial will be in Logan Cemetery by Hass Funeral Home of Dalhart, Texas. Mrs. Smith was born Feb. 21, 1915, in Wilbarger County to Will and Winnie (Carpenter) Ham. In 1929 her family homesteaded in Porter and she graduated from high school in Porter and attended Wayland Baptist University and New Mexico Highlands University. On Nov. 30, 1933, she married Raymond Smith and they lived in Porter before moving to Logan in 1967. She taught school in Logan for many years and retired in 1978. She attended the Methodist Church in Logan and was a member of the Logan Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978; and her parents. Survivors include a son, Phillip Smith of Logan; a daughter, Rae Nell Andrews of Dalhart; a sister, Nell Claunch of Albuquerque; four grandchildren, Allen Smith of Edmond, Okla., Kenneth Lee Smith of Logan, Chris Andrews of Quanah, Texas, and Kent Andrews of Beaumont, Texas; and seven great-grandchildren, Ashley Parsons of Logan, Mackenzie Andrews and Madison Andrews, both of Quanah, Jordyn Andrews and Kylea Andrews, both of Beaumont, and Daniel Smith and David Smith, both of Edmond, Okla. The body will be available for viewing from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday in Logan United Methodist Church.
