Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Duncan City Cemetery, with the Rev. Jimmy Green officiating, under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Deltha was born in Parksburg, W.V., on Oct. 10, 1904, to Arnold and Etta Snodgrass Adams. She married L.W. "Bill" Smith on May 15, 1921, and they moved to the Duncan area a few years later. They were married 67 years and had three children, Charles William "Billy" Smith of Dallas; Neva Jo Hendrickson of Chula Vista, Calf.; and Larry Lynn Smith of Edmond. She was always called "Mam-Ma" by her six loving grandchildren, and she enjoyed showing everyone photos of her eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband. Mrs. Smith had the wonderful ability to find something good in everyone she met and would always tell that person how pretty they were, or how sweet, or kind, or some type of compliment that made all who knew her love her. She played the piano by ear almost every day of her adult life and enjoyed playing a variety of "old favorites" for the residents at Chisholm Trail Assisted Living, where she had lived for the past three years. On the day before she died, she played a piano for about 45 minutes while in Edmond. Everyone who knew her will miss her sweet smile. She will be a joy to all who meet her in Heaven. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Oklahoma County Archives: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/oklahoma/oklahoma.html
