Born in Bridgeport, CT to James P. and Mary E. Takacs, died surrounded by her family at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center. She lived most of her adult life in Oklahoma City. Mother was active in the church for many years. She worked for the Archdiocese of Oklahoma under Bishop Victor Reed and Archbishop John Quinn. She was an administrative assistant to John Kirkpatrick and a lease title analyst for Cummins and Hadson oil companies. Mother was a special person; she loved her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, playing bridge and spoiling her aminules, as she called them. We will all miss her. Her father James P. Takacs precedes Mary in death, as did her brother, James J. Takacs and former husband Manse R. Sharp, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Mary Takacs of Fairfield, CT; brother, John Takacs and his wife Shirley of West Haven, CT; also children, Pamela Culpepper and husband Dan of Edmond, Manse Sharp, III and wife Eileen of Woodcliff Lake, NJ; Karen Blood of Oklahoma City and Jon Sharp and wife Michelle of Houston, TX. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Charles and James Blood, Mary R. Culpepper and Jonathan and David Sharp, as well as nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held at 3pm, Friday, January 24, 2003 in St. Mary's church, 411 N Elm, Guthrie, OK.
