All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Resthaven Memory Gardens--OKC OK Schmidt, Edward Edward Schmidt went to be with his Lord and Savior on 11/6/04, the last of seven siblings. A loving husband, caring father, grandfather, great grandfather, and loyal friend, who will be missed terribly, born 8/27/19 in Isabella, OK. He is survived by his wife of fifty eight years, Joann Schmidt. He is also survived by his children and their spouses: Janet and Mike LeMarr of Xenia, OH and Alan and Donna Schmidt of Yukon, OK; his grandchildren Mary Kelly of Xenia, OH, Karrie Fotheringham of RAF Lakenheath, England, Robby McDaniel of Okla. City, OK, and Cari Blacketer of Broken Arrow, OK; and 8 great grandchildren. He served our country during WWII in the 102nd Infantry Division, as a paratrooper in the European Theatre. He worked as an auto mechanic for 57 years working for many different Oklahoma companies before retiring from O.G. & E. after 21 years. Upon his retirement, Edward and Joann resided in Buffalo Valley, OK where he faithfully served his community and church as a carpenter. He accepted Christ at a young age and helped establish two Mennonite Brethren churches in Okla. City, OK. For the last two years he has resided in Xenia, OH with his daughter and son in law and faithfully attended First Church of Christ where he placed his membership. Edward has left a legacy of love and faith for which we as a family are truly grateful. Services will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday, 11/11/04 in The Little Chapel of the Roses at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
