Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Alameda Baptist Church with the Rev. Phil Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow at the Blackburn Cemetery in Norman. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home. Mr. Scott was born Dec. 9, 1932, in Oklahoma City, the son of William Fredrick and Lula B. Scott. He served in the U.S. Air Force active duty for four years and the Air National Guard for 24 years. He was stationed at San Antonio AFB, Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, and Chitose, Japan, where aside from his military duties, he studied photography which became a hobby the rest of his life. He received his associate's degree in industrial arts from Oklahoma City University. In 1966 he was voted outstanding aircraft maintenance instructor at Savannah, Ga., AFB. He worked for the Oklahoma Air National Guard at Will Rogers Field in Oklahoma City from 1957 until 1981, retiring to pursue a career as a Realtor, rancher and land developer. He loved nature, his horses, cattle and the land. Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his mother, aunts Grace Buckley and Rosa King, and uncles F. M. Marble and John Hobaugh. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, June Scott; father Fred Scott; daughter Deborah (Geannie) Wurst and husband Everett; grandson Jeremy Scott; sisters Mary Sue Sowards and husband Roy and Carrie Lou Black and husband Howard; brothers-in-law and their families Boyd Simpson, Ronald York and Clarence Dabney Jr.; aunt Mary Marble; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends from Norman, Little Axe, Franklin, Noble and around the world.
