All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Llano Cemetery--Amarillo TX Francis Howard Simpson Francis Howard Simpson, 82, of Lubbock and formerly of Amarillo, died Sunday, June 13, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul United Methodist Church with Dr. Norman Grigsby, associate minister, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Simpson was born in Texas City and lived in Amarillo for 31 years before moving to Lubbock. During World War II, he served as a Russian interpreter for the Navy. Mr. Simpson was a long-time member of Kiwanis, a member of Tascosa County Club and St. Paul United Methodist Church. He was a CPA for Brown-Graham and Co. He married Elah Belle Foster in 1937 at Oklahoma City. She died in 1998. Survivors include a son, Ron Simpson of Augusta, Ga.; a daughter, Patti Munoz of Lubbock; a sister, Bue Cooper of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to St. Paul Everlasting Endowment Fund, 4317 West Interstate 40, Amarillo, TX 79106.
