::Memorial Park Cemetery--Edmond OK

Melvin H. Summar

EDMOND, Okla. - Melvin H. Summar, 78, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Highland Park Baptist Church. 
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Baggerley Funeral Home.

Mr. Summar was born in Bovina and served with the Army Air Corps 
during World War II. He worked for the MKT and Rock Island Railroads. 
In 1984, he retired from Kerr McGee and spent 15 years in Bella 
Vista, Ark..

He married Dorothy Dee Scott in 1946 at Amarillo.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kenneth Summar of Edmond and 
Richard Summar of Plano, Texas; a sister, Edith Bray of Amarillo; 
four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
