City, OK was called to his heavenly home on December 7, 2002, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born at his family home in Bartlett, Kansas on June 23, 1948. Ron graduated from Labette County High School, in Altamont, KS in 1966; attended Eastern Oklahoma A&M, Wilburton, OK in 1968, where he lettered in baseball and football; and Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Kansas in 1970, graduating with a BS degree in Industrial Technology. He spent his summers at Chandler Baseball Camp, Chandler, OK as a counselor and coach. Ron was married to Pat Charles on January 19, 1968 at Calvary Baptist Church in Wilburton, OK. After graduating from college, Ron served in the Army in 1971-72. Ron, Pat and their family resided in the Bella Vista/ Bentonville, Arkansas, area from 1973 until 1996, at which time they moved to Okla. City. Ron's vocation, included his own business, Tullis Electric in Arkansas and since 1986, Haynes Equipment Company, LLC. During his years in Arkansas, Ron's greatest joy was found in his growing children and serving as a board member/coach of Bentonville's Little League and Babe Ruth baseball organizations. He was also a member of the Bentonville Lion's Club and Masonic Lodge. For the past ten years, Ron served as a member of the advisory board for Francis-Tuttle VoTech in Okla. City, OK. While living in Arkansas, Ron and Pat were members of the Bella Vista Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church of Bentonville. This past year, Ron and Pat have been members of the Village Baptist Church in Okla. City, where they found wonderful friendships and support. Ron found his life's fulfillment in his relationship with Jesus Christ, his family, his work and serving the elderly. Ron is survived by his wife, Pat (Charles) Tullis, originally from Konawa, OK, now residing in Okla City; his parents, R.A. and Velma Tullis of Bartlett, KS; daughter, Staci Cooper and husband, James and their children, Sydney and Jarrod of Tulsa, OK; son, Brent Tullis and wife, Sandy and their children, Bree and Brittany of Acworth, Georgia; son, Chad Tullis and his wife, Sherri and their children Natalie and Michael of Bentonville, Arkansas; brother, Terry Tullis; nieces Audrey and Cassie of Parsons, Kansas; sister-in-law Becky (Charles) Smith and husband, David of Owasso, OK; nephew, Brenden Gateley and niece-in-law, Renee of Dallas , TX; niece, Amber Gateley of Okla. City. Ron was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lewis and Alice Seger; paternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Tullis; his father and mother-in-law, Gary and Bea Charles. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at the Village Baptist Church at May and Hefner, in Okla. City. Visitation will be Monday evening Dec. 9, 2002 at Baggerley Funeral Home in Edmond, OK. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ron Tullis to Jimmy Hodges Ministeries International, P.O.
