Tomlinson, Olga Mae Porter

Olga Mae Porter Tomlinson, 91, of Perkins died November 29, 2002. Her 
services were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Perkins Church of Christ with 
Terry Tharp, Minister and Richard Poe, Minister officiating. Interment was 
at Sunset Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Strode Funeral Home. In 
lieu of flowers donations may be made to Thomas Wilhite Memorial Library, 
Box 519, Perkins, OK 74059. Olga was born in Beckham County, OK on July 
29, 1911 to Albert and Grace (Castillo) Porter. She married Jim F. 
Tomlinson on July 14, 1934 in Guthrie, OK. She grew up in Carter, Oklahoma 
where she attended schools. She then attended college in Weatherford and 
moved to Perkins with her husband in 1951. She taught mathematics for 35 
years, first at Perkins Elementary School and later at Will Rogers 
Elementary in Stillwater. She enjoyed Ballroom Dancing. She was a member 
of Perkins Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by: her husband, 
two brothers, Bob and Nolen Porter. Survivors include: Sid Tomlinson and 
his wife Cynda of Hays, Kansas; Phillip Tomlinson and his wife, Carol of 
Shawnee; Larry Tomlinson of Perkins; Bob Tomlinson of Edmond. Surviving 
grandchildren include: Brent Tomlinson of Houston, TX; Laurie Tomlinson of 
Denver, CO; Jon Tomlinson of Boise, ID; Steven Tomlinson of Austin, TX; 
Craig Tomlinson of Tulsa, OK; Gina Stewart of Oklahoma City; Bryan Huckaby 
of Perkins, OK; Christy Doering of Dallas, TX; David Tomlinson of 
Minneapolis; Tracy Tomlinson of Phoenix, AZ. Pallbearers were: Brent 
Tomlinson, Steven Tomlinson, Craig Tomlinson, John Tomlinson, David 
Tomlinson, Bryan Huckabay. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family at:
