Turpin Jr., Wayne L.

Wayne L. Turpin, Jr. lost his battle sometime Monday night against a 
silent deadly killer that took his life after many years of struggle. He 
was born in OKC on June 19, 1947 to Charlotte and Wayne Turpin. He 
attended James Monroe Elementary School, Putnam City Junior High, Oklahoma 
Military Academy, graduating from NW Classen in May 1965. He spent 6 years 
in the Navy Reserve and served his active duty in Naval Security as a 
warrior in the cold war. Afterward, he graduated from Oklahoma City 
University with a degree in Psychology and worked as a social worker. In 
1974, he moved to San Francisco where he lived off and on until 1995. He 
is predeceased by his father and survived by his mother Charlotte and 
brother Charles. He is also survived by many, many dear friends, all of 
whom he loved and cherished ... God grant me the serenity to accept the 
things I cannot change... courage to change the things I can and wisdom to 
know the difference... Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Friday, 
January 17, 2003 at the Hahn-Cook/ Street & Draper Chapel with interment 
following in Rose Hill Burial Park.
