All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm +========================================================================+ Mrs. Cecil Turner Betty Ruth Turner, age 83, passed on August 9th, 2002. She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Albert G. and Rowlena Mager on December 7, 1918. She graduated from Oklahoma A&M University in 1942. It was while she was there that she met Cecil Turner, her devoted husband of 53 years. After living 45 years in Oklahoma, she convinced him to move to Seattle, Washington because of her love of Mt. Rainier. She loved the mountains and wildlife, often rescuing or raising animals in need. She raised four of her own children, Kirby, Bruce, Lee, and Kathy Turner, as well as Marie Torres, as a foster parent, for much of her childhood. She has six grandchildren. Betty Ruth always looked forward to her extended journeys. Our hearts truly are with her now as she takes perhaps the greatest journey of them all. We are, of course, saddened by her parting, yet we are happy for her as she now finds the answers to all the metaphysical questions she pursued all her life. It is, for her, truly a celebration. It is we who struggle to remember. We thank you, Mom for a lifetime of guidance, even now at this time of passing. You have successfully lived as an emissary of divine love. We love you now and always. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 16th at Green Funeral Home, 1215 145th Place, SE Bellevue, WA 98007, and a celebration of her life following. Published in the Oklahoman on 8/15/2002. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Oklahoma County Archives: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/oklahoma/oklahoma.html
