She was born to Lloyd Preston and Ernestelle McCarty Duncan, on Oct. 26, 1922, in Tecumseh, OK. Helen Loyd moved to the Midwest & Del City area after her husband retired from the Air Force. She was raised in Cyril, OK and traveled extensively with her husband and family during his military career. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Del City. Helen Loyd enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. Helen Loyd loved her Sunday School, being an artist completing many paintings, traveling, golf and was a member of Scissor Tails, and Board of Realtors and co-owner/Broker of Thompson Realty Co. Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years of marriage, C.M. 'Tommy' Thompson of Del City; her son, Thomas and his wife, Tawanna of Grapevine. TX; her daughter, Debra King and husband, Kyle of Farmers Branch, TX; grandchildren, Jennifer Daniels and husband, Gavin of Bryan, TX, Kimberly Radich and husband, Paul of Houston, TX, Matthew Thompson of Grapevine, TX, Sarah Thompson of Houston, TX, Jordan King of Farmers Branch, TX; brother, Richard Duncan and wife, Christine of Nicoma Park; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by 1 daughter, Charlotte Ann; 1 brother, Maurice Carlton (Sonny) Duncan; and 1 sister, Bette Juan Morris. Services are 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at the First Southern Baptist Church of Del City, with burial in Sunny Lane Cemetery.
