He was born on February 23, 1921 in Jones, OK to Arthur and Letha (Price) Vinyard. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Pipe fitters Union Local 699 and a member of the Moose Lodge in Washington State. He married his wife Helen on December 28, 1979 in OKC, OK. Lester enjoyed bowling, card games and playing dominoes. He is survived by his wife Helen, of the home; 7 daughters: Diana Rudolph and her husband Del of Washington; Debbie Vinyard of Washington; Trudy Schorzman and her husband Paul of Oregon; Beverly Maxey and her husband Gilbert of Jones, OK; Frankie Helen Garcia and her husband Manuel of Jones, OK; Connie Gardner and her husband Fred of Choctaw, OK; Sharon Manion and her husband Powell of Jones, OK; 5 sons: Darrell Vinyard and his wife Kyle of Washington; Troy Vinyard and his wife Barbara of Washington; Edward Vinyard of Oregon; Jerry Vinyard and his wife Debbie of Washington; Bruce Vinyard and his wife JoAnn of Jones, OK; 23 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Merle Carter, and Marie Brown; 1 brother, Arthur Vinyard; and, numerous other nieces and nephews and various other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Letha Vinyard; 1 great granddaughter, Amy Palmer; 3 sisters: Margaret Hammon; Pearl Carter, and Edna Perdew; 4 brothers: Russell Vinyard; Earl Vinyard; Kenneth Vinyard, and, Ed Vinyard. Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel, 5005 S.E. 29th Del City OK, with viewing, Sunday and Monday at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home. Burial will be at Kolb Cemetery, immediately following services at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel.
