Vincent was born April 15, 1929 in Strong City, Oklahoma to Bertha Mae and George Loyd Scott. She passed away April 23, 2008 at Edmond, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years and 8 days. Billie graduated from Strong City High School before attending Oklahoma A & M College in Stillwater. She was married to Wallace Gene Vincent at Strong City, Oklahoma on September 29, 1949. They lived in Cheyenne before moving to Oklahoma City in 1951. After Wallace was discharged from the United States Marines they lived in Placentia, California for a number of years before moving to Sayre in 1987 to make their home. Billie was very artistic and was known for her doll creations. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 infant daughter, 1 brother, George Loyd Scott, Jr. and 3 nephews, Gary Don, Glen and LaMar Lamb. Survivors include 1 daughter Linda Stewart and husband, Paul, of Guthrie, Oklahoma; 1 son Donald R. Vincent, of Sayre, Oklahoma; 2 sisters Betty Lamb, of Sayre, Oklahoma and Lonna Mae Long, of Hacienda Heights, California; 3 brothers Bobby Scott, of Strong City, Oklahoma, Harold Scott, of Sayre, Oklahoma, Gary Scott, of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; 1 sister-in-law Sharon Scott of Roswell, New Mexico; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cheyenne First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Milton Gage. Burial was held in Strong City Cemetery, Strong City, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
