All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Daily Oklahoman 3 Aug 2002 Wieck, Margaret Sloane Margaret Sloane Wieck, age 70, died Wednesday, July 31, 2002 after a courageously fought battle with lung cancer. She died at home with her children surrounding her. During the last 3 months of her battle her children were with her and watched with admiration as Margaret taught her children the meaning of 'True Grit'. Margaret was born on August 24, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York to William and Wilhelminia Sloane. Margaret served in the Air Force from April 16, 1951 in Memphis, TN and was honorably discharged on May 28, 1952. Margaret moved to the Oklahoma City area in 1961. She married Lorence E. Wieck on March 30, 1972. Lorence died January 22, 1983. Margaret lived in Choctaw, OK until her death. She is survived by her son, Joseph Legenzoff of St. Croix, Virgin Islands, her daughter, Dana Miles, of Warsaw, MO, her daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Michael Martin, of Eufaula, OK, her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Michael Mullins, of Oro Valley, AZ. She is also survived by her grandchildren Joshua Legenzoff of Oklahoma City, Reagan Legenzoff of Houston, TX, Justin, Catrina and Elizabeth of Warsaw, MO, Nina and Erinn Lay of Norman, OK, Michelle Martin of Los Angeles, CA, Jacqueline Martin of Eufaula, OK, Toni Rodgers, a special granddaughter to Margaret of Noble, OK, Cyndee Mullins of OKC, OK, Michael and Chelsea Mullins of Oro Valley, AZ and one great grandchild, Gavin Lay, of Norman, OK. Margaret will be missed by all, especially her dearest friend Frances Carl of Midwest City, OK. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 3, at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be mailed to Hospice Quality Care, 921 S. Sooner Rd., Del City, OK, 73110-2041.
