All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Westermier, Amanda Jo Amanda Jo Westermier, 'Mandy' age 14, born on June 17, 1988, entered the arena gates of heaven on April 25, 2003. Mandy was fatally injured in a barrel racing accident last Saturday. She resided in Luther, OK and attended Wellston High School as a freshman. Mandy was a Christian active at Life Church East. She also attended Life Church West for youth activities. Mandy was surrounded by many friends and family members including those from three rodeo associations, Edmond Junior Rodeo, Central Oklahoma Junior Rodeo Association, and Heartland of Oklahoma Youth Rodeo Association. She is also loved by many friends at Luther and Wellston Schools. She was an honor role student and over achieved in every aspect of her life. She was the 2002 All Around Champion in two rodeo associations. She won numerous Championship buckles in Barrel Racing, Pole Bending and Goat Tying. Her other interests included singing, helping and baby-sitting small children, DECA, FCCLA and she was anticipating competing in a powder puff football game. She always met strangers with a smile and would tell us to keep our heads up and stay positive in this difficult time. Amanda continues to live and give life as a part of the Organ Sharing Network. Many thanks go out to the friends at the Edmond Fire Department for their compassion, love and persistence in her extended stay at OU Medical Center. She is survived by her Mother, Tammy, Dad, Greg, and little brother Cody. Other surviving family members include Harold, Cynthia, Eddie, Jo, AJ, and Kent, Westermier; Wendell, Shirley and Toby Scrivner; Melody Carson, Rick Rewerts, and Jamie Peckham; Mollie Ziese; Marjorie Hahn and many other family members and friends. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Amanda Jo Westermier Memorial Scholarship Fund established at Bank of America. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at Life Church East Campus, with interment following at Wellston Cemetery in Wellston, OK. Baggerley Funeral Home 930 S.
