All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.html ========================================================================== ::Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery--OKC OK Wade, Ruth Stapleton Ruth Stapleton, 86, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005. She was born Nov. 21, 1918 in Dexter, KS to Code & Lois (Joy) French. A resident of the OKC area for the past 60 years, Ruth worked for the State of Okla. at DOT and DHS for numerous years. Ruth led an exemplary Christian life, dedicating her time and talents to serving her Lord, family and others. In 1954, Ruth, along with her husband 'Doc', founded one the first Children's Church programs in the OKC area and for more than 40 years assisted in teaching, educating, playing piano, and organizing hundreds of activities for the children's spiritual development. In addition to organizing Children's Church, Ruth and her family provided a method of transportation, for several of the children, by picking them up in the 'family bus,' a 1954 Belair, so they would be able to attend church. Touching children & adults with her Christ-like spirit and servant's heart, Ruth's ministry led hundreds to accept Christ as their personal Savior. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her and fondly remembered for her faithful service to others. Preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, Otis, her husband of over 40 years L.C. 'Doc' Wade in 1982; her 2nd Husband, Dale Stapleton in 1995; and daughter, Jan Baum in 2004. She leaves wonderful memories behind that will be cherished by her son, Murry Wade and wife, Ellie; Grandchildren: Andy Pappadopoulos, David Wade, Jennifer Vlaemynck, Melissa Hunter, Scott Pappadopoulos, Joyanna Ketch, & Chris Wade; and 18 Great Grandchildren. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Celina Lawson, for her excellent and compassionate love & care she gave to Ruth over the past 3 years. Services to celebrate Ruth's life will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005 at the Capitol Hill Assembly of God. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, 'Doc' Wade at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
