Weeden, Johnny

Johnny Weeden, 67, of Amarillo, died Saturday, April 11, 1998.

No services are scheduled. Cremation was handled by Schooler Funeral Home,
4100 S. Georgia.

Mr. Weeden was born in Wheatland, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo since
he was 4 months old. He attended Amarillo schools. He was a Marine Corps
veteran serving from 1950 until 1956.

He worked in the U.S. Marshall's office and then became a deputy with the
Randall County Sheriff's Department. At the time of his death, he was
employed by Allstate Security.

He married Betty Bailey in 1995 in Amarillo.

Survivors include his wife; a son, John Weeden of Pampa; a daughter,
Sheryl Weeden; five stepdaughters, Kim Kendall of California, Pam Davis,
Jaime Meyer and Stephanie Rascoe, all of Amarillo, and Brenda Williams of
Las Vegas, Nev.; a stepson, Butch Meyer of Amarillo; and 11 grandchildren.

The body will not be available for viewing.

The family requests memorials be to the Randall County Sheriff's
Department Deputy Bullet Proof Vest Fund, 501 16th St., Canyon, Texas
79015.
