All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Walker, Gladys Aline Gladys Aline, 89, longtime resident of Oklahoma City passed from this life March 15, 2003. She was born in Lakewood, New Mexico to C. Jack and Grace Hobbs Wood on June 20, 1913. She was a 1931 graduate of Central High School and of Hills Business University, Oklahoma City with a degree in Junior Accounting. She worked as an accountant for John A. Brown Department Store, as secretary for Bone and Joint Hospital, Nurse's Assistant at Deaconess Hospital and later provided home care for the elderly for several years. Gladys was a long time member of the Baptist Temple and as long as her health permitted she was very active, teaching Sunday school classes, singing in the choir, etc. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.B. Walker, her daughter, Diana Lois Wortman, her parents and two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her son, Robert R. Walker of OKC, sister, Gloria Davis, OKC and grandchildren, Mark Wortman and Leslie L. Allen and four great grandchildren, all of Key West, Florida. She also leaves her beloved Honeybun and Kat of the home. Graveside service will be at Spring Creek Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18th. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation be made in Gladys' honor to the Baptist Children's Home, OKC or to cancer research at the Oklahoma Medical Center. VONDEL L.
