Walker, age 85 of OKC passed away Saturday, August 13, 2005 at his home. Born August 1, 1920 in Chandler, OK to John and Martha Walker. John was a Navy veteran of WWII and worked for the VA hospital for 29 years before his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed talking about fishing. John was a member and deacon of South Lindsay Baptist Church, he was also a member of the Odd Fellows and charter member of VFW Lodge 1857. He is survived by his wife Juanita, daughter, Susan & husband Dean Reynolds, son, John Paul & wife Cheryl Walker, daughter Gayla & husband Orden Hartley, son Philo & wife Janice Gravitt;, sister Geneva Melton, and grandchildren: Debbie & husband Charles Portales, Jennifer Kaye Gregory, Wesley Alan Reynolds, John Thomas Walker, Bethany Marie Walker, Sherry Marie Hartley, a host of nieces, nephews, other family and the entire membership of South Lindsay Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 10 AM Wednesday at South Lindsay Baptist Church with interment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens. John was a loving husband, father, and friend. He was a 'Good Man' and will be missed by all.
