Williams passed away on November 18, 2003. She was born on December 7, 1928 to Oscar and Mae Reno in Bethany, Oklahoma. Doris was the sixth of seven children. She grew up in Bethany and graduated from Bethany High School in 1946 as valedictorian of her senior class. Doris worked for Oklahoma Mortgage Company in Oklahoma City from 1946 to 1960, when she married J. Earl Williams. After they married, Doris and Earl moved to Dallas where they established a business, Church Builders' Associates. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, Loveta Lofgren and Gwendolyn Westmoreland, and one brother, Harvey W. Reno, and is survived by three step-children, Linda Crow and husband Bill, Jim Williams and wife, Karen, and Kandy Sansome and husband, Dan, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters, Alpha Horn and Joyce Malikoff, and one brother, Lynn O. Reno. Doris was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend. She had a bright personality and a smile for everyone. Doris was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Dallas and a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Bethany. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 22, at Mercer Adams Funeral Home with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the First Baptist Church of Bethany building fund.
