She married Joe B. Williams on July 14, 1956, and became God's perfect example of a godly wife and mother. Dorothy was a pastor's wife for thirty years and then followed her husband and supported him in every aspect of ministry God led him to. This included chaplaincy and interim pastorates throughout the state and the country, ultimately to minister in New York City after September 11, 2001 until the present. Through the years she worked in children's ministries in the church, teaching children and teaching adults how to teach children, always being known for her creativity. She was an accomplished seamstress, and spent many hours sewing for herself, her family, and others, including wedding dresses for herself and her two girls. Dorothy put her whole heart and her love for Christ into everything she did, which included working as a Medical Assistant for the past sixteen years for Dr. Thomas Murray, retiring in June 2002 to join Joe in his ministry in New York City. She was diagnosed with cancer in October, 2002. She was transferred from a hospital in New Jersey to Baptist Medical Center on February 25, 2003. By doing this, we brought her home to Oklahoma, and she went HOME to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 1, 2003. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Freddy and Ronnie; and a sister Lillian. She is survived by her husband, Joe, of the home, four children, Mike and wife Joann, Edmond; Lori Miller and husband Marty, Ardmore; Linda Crammer and husband Kevin, Enid; and James, Choctaw; grandchildren, Ashlee and Luke Miller, Katie and Wyatt Crammer and Conner Williams.
