Alice was born in Altus, Oklahoma to James and Alice Simmons, the youngest of 7 children. She was raised in Altus and attended Southwestern State College. She married Homer Davis Holland January 18, 1941. They had three children, Nancy, Jim, and Joel. She and Homer lived most of their married lives in Clinton, Oklahoma until his death on December 24, 1965. Following Homer's death, she was a dorm mother at Southwestern State College in Weatherford and in 1971 moved to Oklahoma City. She met Wolfgang Winkel and they married March 23, 1973 in Oklahoma City where they lived until her death. She is survived by her husband Wolfgang Winkel of the home. She is also survived by her daughter and son in-law Nancy and Bob Smith, of Oklahoma City, her son and daughter-in law Jim and Rena Holland of Yukon, son and daughter-in-law Joel and Debbie Holland of Grandville, Michigan. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeanna and Eric Stewart, Kitty and Frank Addleman, Robby and Terri Smith, Diana and Dee Walters, Jim Jr. and Melissa Holland, Hank and Megan Holland, Chad and Lesley Holland, Hollie and Kevin DeYoung, Heather and Mike DeMario and Eric Holland. In addition, she is survived by her great grandchildren Libby and Ginny Addleman, Abby and Bethany Smith, Conner Walters, Isaac and Meleah Holland, Daylie and Keegan DeMario and Kenadie DeYoung. She is furthermore survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Vondel L. Smith and Son North, located at 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd. on Thursday, August 1st at 10:30 A.M.
