Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Todd Dyess, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Wright was born April 4, 1910, in Bowie. At age 6, his family moved to Oklahoma City where he graduated from Classen High School in 1929. He attended Northwest Missouri Teachers College in Maryville, Mo., where he received a bachelor of science degree in 1935. He was a veteran of the Air Corps during World War II and completed Officer's Candidate School in Miami Beach, Fla. He served with the Eighth Air Force in England and France. In 1960, he and his brother opened Wright's Fashions at 222 N. Cuyler which he operated until his retirement in 1984. He married Ruth Wooley on Dec. 11, 1963, in Pampa. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a member of the Men's Fellowship Sunday school class. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1984. Survivors include a niece, Gloria Hiratsuka of Billingham, Alaska; and a nephew, John Hightower of Newport, Ore. The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1981, Pampa, TX 79066-1981.
